Before you start, make sure you have:
- Admin access to your Meta Business Manager (you need to be an Admin — if you're not sure, you probably are if you created the account)
- Your agency's Business ID — they'll send this to you. It looks like a long number (e.g.,
123456789012345)
Step-by-Step: Give Your Agency Access
Go to business.facebook.com
Click the gear icon (Settings) in the bottom-left corner

Click the dropdown in the top-left and select your business

In the left sidebar, under Users, click Partners
Click the blue Add button and select "Give a partner access to your assets"
Paste your agency's Business ID into the field

Done? You should now see your agency in your Partners list.
Click on your agency's name in the Partners list, then click Assign assets

Select Ad Accounts, toggle yours on, and set to Full control

In the Assign assets panel, click Pages

Summary
You're All Set
Here's a quick checklist of what you just granted your agency access to:
| Asset | Permission | What it lets your agency do |
|---|---|---|
| Partner access | Partner | Connects your businesses |
| Ad Account | Full control | Create and optimize your ads |
| Facebook Page | Full control | Run ads using your Page identity |
| Pixel / Dataset | Full control | Track conversions and optimize |
| Instagram Account | Full control | Run Instagram ad placements |
What happens next: Your agency will accept the partner invitation on their end and start setting up your campaigns.

No. Partner access is strictly limited to the business assets you assigned. Your agency cannot:

- Change your billing or payment info
Can I remove access later?
- Go to Business Settings > Partners
- Click on your agency > click Remove
- All access is revoked immediately
I don't have a Business Manager — just a regular Facebook Page.
- Go to business.facebook.com
- Click Create Account, enter your business name and email
- Add your existing Page, then come back to this guide
I'm getting an error when adding a partner.
- "This Business ID is not valid" — Double-check the number. No extra spaces.
- "You don't have permission" — You might not be an Admin. Ask whoever created the Business Manager.
- "Please wait 24 hours" — New accounts have a waiting period. Try again tomorrow.
