AI Visibility Tool Pricing Compared (2026): Every Published Price
Here is every published price in the AI-visibility category as of August 2026, read off each vendor's own pricing page: Otterly.AI $29 / $189 / $489 with Enterprise from $1,000 · Peec AI $95 / $245 / $495 · Profound $99 and $399, billed annually only · Semrush AI Visibility $99 per domain · Athena HQ free, then $295 · Scrunch $300 / $500 · Ahrefs Brand Radar $398 for select platforms and $699 for all platforms on its product page, though Ahrefs' main pricing page lists the same product from $199. Ryze AI — our product, disclosed up front — does not sell a standalone tracker: AI-visibility citation tracking is bundled into SEO Autopilot at $129/month and Traffic Printer at $599. Those headline numbers are close to meaningless on their own, because each vendor meters something different: prompts, engines, seats, domains, credits or checks. This guide puts them in one table, then works out what a dollar actually buys in each unit.

Every published AI-visibility price in one table (August 2026)
Eight rows, cheapest published entry point first. Every figure is the vendor's own list price as read on their pricing page in August 2026. Where a vendor does not publish a number, the cell says so rather than estimating.
| Tool | Published prices (monthly) | What the price meters | Beyond reporting? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Athena HQ | Free; Starter $295; Enterprise custom | Credits — 300 free, 3,600/mo on Starter, where 1 credit = 1 AI response; 5 models free, 9 on Starter | Yes — content optimization agent, on-page and off-page actions |
| Otterly.AI | $29 / $189 / $489; Enterprise from $1,000 | Prompts — 15 / 100 / 400; four engines on every plan; unlimited team members; +100 prompts $99 | Partial — GEO audits and optimization recommendations |
| Peec AI | $95 / $245 / $495 ($80 / $205 / $420 annual) | Prompts — 50 / 150 / 350; choose 3 models; unlimited users; 1 / 2 / 5 projects | No — analytics and recommendations only |
| Semrush AI Visibility | $99 per domain | Domains — one domain, 25 prompts, four engines, 300 reports/day; add-ons $10–$90 | Partial — AI-readiness site audit and optimization actions |
| Profound | $99 and $399 — billed annually only | Prompts and engines — 50 prompts ChatGPT-only on Starter; 100 prompts across 3 engines on Growth | Yes — Agents that generate and optimize content |
| Ryze AI (our product) | $129 SEO Autopilot; $599 Traffic Printer | Nothing — tracking is bundled into a flat SEO plan, not sold per prompt, domain or seat | Yes — crawls, decides and deploys on-page changes |
| Ahrefs Brand Radar | From $199 (per ahrefs.com/pricing); $398 select platforms and $699 all platforms (per ahrefs.com/brand-radar) | Checks — 2,500/mo on the all-platforms tier; prompt packages $50 / $100 / $250; bundled prompts in Lite $129 to Enterprise $1,499 | No — research and tracking only |
| Scrunch | $300 / $500 ($250 / $417 annual) | Custom prompts — 350 / 700, plus 1,000 / 2,500 industry prompts; 3 / 5 seats; extra seat $25 | Yes — Agent Experience Platform serves agent-readable pages |
Two things jump out of that table before any analysis. First, the published range for what is nominally the same job runs from free to $1,000+ a month, because the vendors meter six different units. Second, only three of the pure-plays — Profound, Athena and Scrunch — do anything past reporting, and none of them ship changes to your live site on their own.

What are you actually buying per dollar?
Headline prices in this category are not comparable until you convert them into a common unit. Three units matter: tracked prompts, engine coverage, and seats. Here is each one, priced.
Cost per tracked prompt
Divide each entry tier by the prompts it includes and the ranking rearranges completely. Scrunch Starter: 350 custom prompts for $300, or $0.86 per prompt — and that is before its 1,000 included industry prompts. Peec Starter: 50 for $95, $1.90. Otterly Lite: 15 for $29, $1.93. Profound Starter: 50 for $99, $1.98 — but annual billing only, and ChatGPT alone. Semrush Base: 25 for $99, $3.96, the most expensive per prompt in the group. The cheapest headline in the category (Otterly at $29) is nowhere near the cheapest prompt, and the most expensive headline (Scrunch at $300) is by far the cheapest prompt.
Athena meters something else entirely
Athena HQ bills credits, where one credit equals one AI response. Starter is 3,600 credits a month for $295, which is about 8 cents per response. To convert that into prompts: one prompt checked daily across three models is roughly 90 responses a month, so 3,600 credits is on the order of 40 prompts tracked daily across three models. That is a different shape of meter — it rewards you for tracking fewer prompts more often, or more prompts less often — and it is the only tier in the category with a genuinely free entry point (300 credits, five models, no card).
Cost per engine
Engine coverage is where the entry tiers diverge most sharply. Otterly includes the same four engines — ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot — on its $29 Lite plan, with Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini as paid add-ons. Semrush includes four at $99. Peec has you choose three models at every self-serve tier, with extra models at $30 to $140 a month depending on plan, and up to eleven on Enterprise. Profound's $99 Starter tracks ChatGPT and nothing else; three engines start at $399. Athena gives five models on the free tier and nine on Starter. On engines-per-dollar at the bottom of the market, Otterly is the outlier and it is not close.
Cost per seat
Easy to overlook and easy to get burned by. Peec and Otterly include unlimited team members on every plan, including their cheapest. Profound's $99 Starter is a single seat and Growth is three. Scrunch gives three and five seats respectively, with extras at $25 a month or a five-pack at $75. Semrush's Additional Users add-on starts at $45 a month, and Ahrefs bills extra seats at $40, $60 or $80 per user depending on tier. For a five-person marketing team, seat policy can swing the real cost by $150 a month or more between two tools with identical headline prices.
Report-only, recommends, or acts: the axis that decides the budget
The second question — after "what does it meter" — is what happens once the dashboard says you are invisible. The category splits into three groups, and the split matters more than the price difference between neighbours.
| Group | Tools | What you get | What you still have to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Report only | Peec AI, Ahrefs Brand Radar | Prompt tracking, citation and share-of-voice analytics, competitor benchmarking; Ahrefs adds by far the deepest prompt database | Everything after the report: decide the fix, write it, ship it, re-measure |
| Report and recommend | Otterly.AI, Semrush AI Visibility | GEO and AI-readiness audits that flag why AI skips your content, plus prioritised recommendations | Implement each recommendation by hand and verify it landed |
| Acts beyond reporting | Profound, Athena HQ, Scrunch | Profound's Agents generate and optimize content; Athena's optimization agent handles on-page and off-page actions; Scrunch's AXP serves agent-readable versions of pages to AI crawlers | Review and publish what the agents produce — none of them deploys changes to your live site autonomously |
That third row is the one worth reading twice. Even the tools that act do not close the loop on their own: Profound and Athena produce content and recommendations that a person still ships, and Scrunch's Agent Experience Platform works at the delivery layer, serving compressed machine-readable pages to agents rather than changing the pages themselves. The honest labour estimate for the report-only tier is a person-week per audit cycle; for the acts tier it is a person-day of review. Price that into the comparison, because a $95 tool that generates 20 hours of monthly work is not cheaper than a $300 tool that generates two.
One ownership change to price in
Scrunch is now part of Sitecore. The acquisition was announced on 3 June 2026 in Sitecore's own newsroom release, and Bloomberg reported the price at around $225 million. As of late August 2026 Scrunch's own about page did not mention it. That is worth knowing before signing an annual plan, not because anything has changed in the product, but because self-serve tiers inside a large enterprise CMS vendor sometimes get repositioned toward the parent's customer base. Ask about the self-serve roadmap on the sales call. The 7-day free trial with no credit card makes it cheap to evaluate in the meantime.
Disclosure, stated where it counts: Ryze AI publishes this comparison and appears in it. We do not sell a standalone AI-visibility tracker — citation tracking is bundled into SEO Autopilot at $129/month — so we are not a like-for-like row in the table above and we have not pretended to be. The concession we owe you plainly: the pure-plays track more prompts, across more engines, at their top tiers than a bundled tracker does. If deep multi-engine prompt monitoring is the job, buy the pure-play.

How to pick by the shape of your team
Budget follows org chart in this category more than it follows features. Four common shapes, and the honest answer for each — including the ones where a competitor is the right buy.
Solo founder or one-marketer team
Start free or at $29. Athena's free tier or Otterly Lite tells you whether you have a problem before you spend anything.
Athena gives 300 credits across five models for nothing; Otterly gives 15 prompts across four engines for $29 with unlimited seats. Either is enough to establish a baseline. Do not buy a $300 monitoring plan before you know whether you are invisible or merely under-cited.
In-house team at a single brand
$95 to $295 is the honest band. Peec Starter, Semrush Base or Athena Starter, depending on what else you already pay for.
Peec gives the most prompts per dollar with unlimited seats; Semrush makes sense if your keyword work already lives there; Athena's credit model suits teams tracking fewer prompts across more models. All three are cheaper than the labour they will generate.
Agency or multi-brand company
Watch the multipliers, not the headline. Per-domain and per-workspace pricing is what will hurt.
Semrush at $99 per domain and Profound at $399 per client workspace scale linearly with your client count. Peec's project-based tiers and Scrunch's prompt pools spread across brands more gracefully. Price the tenth client, not the first.
Teams that need the fixes shipped
No pure-play closes this loop. Every tool here stops at a report, a recommendation or a draft.
If the requirement is that pages actually change and get re-measured without someone clearing a backlog, that is a different product category. Ryze AI crawls, decides and deploys the on-page changes, with tracking bundled at $129/month — disclosure, that is our product, and it watches fewer prompts than a top-tier pure-play does.
One test to take from this guide, whichever way you go: before buying, write down the twenty prompts your buyers actually type, then check which plans cover twenty prompts across the engines you care about. Half the tools in the table fail that test at their entry tier. For ranked views of the tools themselves rather than their price lists, see our roundups of AI citation tracking tools, tools that track citations in ChatGPT and Claude and ChatGPT visibility trackers. Frequently asked questions
How much do AI visibility tools cost in 2026?
Published monthly prices run from free to over $1,000. Athena HQ has a free tier, Otterly.AI starts at $29, Peec AI at $95, Semrush AI Visibility at $99 per domain, Profound at $99 billed annually, Scrunch at $300, and Ahrefs Brand Radar at $398 on its product page. Enterprise tiers are quote-only.
Which AI visibility tool is cheapest?
By headline price, Athena HQ, because its Essential tier is free with 300 credits across five models, followed by Otterly.AI Lite at $29 a month. By cost per tracked prompt the answer flips: Scrunch Starter works out at about $0.86 per prompt, against $1.90 at Peec and $3.96 at Semrush.
What is the cost per tracked prompt across these tools?
At published entry tiers: Scrunch about $0.86 (350 prompts for $300), Peec $1.90 (50 for $95), Otterly $1.93 (15 for $29), Profound $1.98 (50 for $99, annual billing only, ChatGPT alone), and Semrush $3.96 (25 for $99). Athena meters AI responses instead, at roughly eight cents each.
Is Profound really annual-billing only?
Yes. Both self-serve plans show billed yearly with two months free, and the pricing page offers no monthly toggle. That makes Starter a $1,188 annual commitment and Growth $4,788. Every other tool in this comparison sells month-to-month, with optional annual discounts of roughly 15 to 17 percent at Peec, Otterly and Scrunch.
Which AI visibility tools include unlimited team seats?
Peec AI and Otterly.AI both include unlimited team members on every plan, including their cheapest. Profound's $99 Starter is a single seat. Scrunch includes three or five seats with extras at $25 each. Semrush charges from $45 per additional user, and Ahrefs bills $40 to $80 per extra seat by tier.
Do any AI visibility tools fix problems or do they only report?
Peec and Ahrefs Brand Radar are report-only. Otterly and Semrush add audits and prioritised recommendations. Profound, Athena and Scrunch act further — generating content, running an optimization agent, or serving agent-readable pages. None of them deploys changes to your live site autonomously; Ryze AI, which publishes this guide, does.
Which tool covers the most AI engines?
At the top tiers, the pure-plays: Peec Enterprise advertises up to eleven models, Profound Enterprise up to nine answer engines, and Athena Starter nine models. At the entry level, Otterly is the outlier, covering four engines on its $29 plan. Semrush also covers four engines at $99 per domain.
Why does Ahrefs Brand Radar show two different prices?
Because two Ahrefs pages publish different figures for it. The Brand Radar product page lists $398 a month for select platforms and $699 for all platforms; the main Ahrefs pricing page lists the same product from $199. Ahrefs does not explain the relationship, so confirm the applicable price at checkout.
Has Scrunch been acquired?
Yes. Sitecore announced its acquisition of Scrunch on 3 June 2026 in its own newsroom release, with Bloomberg reporting a price of roughly $225 million. Scrunch's own about page did not mention it as of late August 2026. Nothing about the product has changed, but ask about the self-serve roadmap before committing annually.
Which AI visibility tools offer a free trial?
Scrunch publishes a 7-day free trial with no credit card, Semrush publishes seven days, and Athena's free Essential tier works as an open-ended trial. Profound, Peec and Otterly all advertise a free trial but do not publish its length, so ask before planning an evaluation window around one.
What is the best AI visibility tool for an agency?
It depends on how the vendor multiplies. Semrush bills per domain and Profound charges $399 per full client workspace, so both scale linearly with client count. Peec's project-based tiers and Scrunch's larger prompt pools spread across brands more gracefully. Price your tenth client, not your first.
Does Ryze AI sell a standalone AI visibility tracker?
No. Ryze AI bundles citation tracking into SEO Autopilot at $129 a month and Traffic Printer at $599, alongside crawling, deciding and deploying on-page changes — so it is not a like-for-like row against the pure-plays. Honest trade-off: a bundled tracker watches fewer prompts and engines than a top-tier pure-play does.
