Semrush AI Visibility Pricing in 2026: $99 per Domain, Explained
Semrush's AI Visibility toolkit costs $99 per month per domain. That is the price of the single self-serve plan, which Semrush calls Base, and the figure is the same whether you toggle the pricing page to monthly or to annual billing. For $99 you get 25 custom prompts tracked with daily AI rankings, one domain for Brand Performance analysis, brand mentions pulled from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity, AI competitor analysis and prompt research, a site audit for AI readiness, and 300 reports per day. Add-ons are priced separately and run from $10 to $90 a month. There is a seven-day free trial ("Try Semrush free for seven days. Cancel anytime."), and an Enterprise tier at custom pricing. Disclosure before anything else: this guide is published by Ryze AI, which sells AI-visibility tracking bundled into its own SEO product — every Semrush figure below was read off semrush.com/pricing/ai/ in August 2026, and where Semrush does not publish a number, this page says so rather than filling the gap.

Semrush AI Visibility pricing at a glance (August 2026)
Semrush keeps this simple compared with the rest of its rate card: one self-serve plan, one price, and a short list of add-ons. Every row below is published on semrush.com/pricing/ai/ as of August 2026.
| Plan / tier | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Base (self-serve) | $99/mo per domain | 25 custom prompts with daily AI rankings, 1 domain for Brand Performance, mentions from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity, AI competitor analysis, prompt research, AI-readiness site audit, 300 reports/day |
| Add-ons | $10 to $90/mo each | Base Report $10, Pro Report $20, Additional Users from $45, Lead Generation $90 |
| Free trial | 7 days | Semrush's wording: try free for seven days, cancel anytime |
| Enterprise | Custom, by demo | Unlimited projects, custom large-scale prompt tracking, multi-brand and multi-product visibility, forecasting and ROI attribution, SSO and governance, dedicated account manager |
| Enterprise AIO | Custom, quote only | A separate enterprise solution for AI Optimization; the page does not name which individual models it covers |
The one-line summary: $99 a month buys one brand, 25 prompts and four engines. The price is easy to understand — the thing to work out before you buy is how many domains and how many prompts your actual question needs, because both of those are what the $99 is metered on.

What actually drives your Semrush AI Visibility price?
There is no spend tier, no seat minimum and no configurator here. Three things move your invoice: how many domains you track, which add-ons you switch on, and whether you already pay Semrush for anything else.
Lever one: the number of domains
This is the important one. The $99 covers one domain for Brand Performance analysis, and the price is quoted per domain. A single-brand company pays $99. A company with three brands, or an agency with three clients that each want their own Brand Performance view, is buying the toolkit three times. That multiplication is the single biggest thing to model before you commit, and it is where the plan stops being the cheapest option on the shelf and starts being one of the more expensive ones.
Lever two: prompts, which are fixed at 25
Base tracks 25 custom prompts with daily AI rankings. There is no published self-serve upgrade path for more prompts inside the Base plan — Semrush's answer to "I need more" is the Enterprise tier, where the page advertises custom large-scale AI prompt tracking at quote-only pricing. So the practical shape of the product is: 25 prompts, or a sales call. If your category needs 100 prompts to be represented honestly, price that in as a step change, not an increment.
Lever three: the add-ons
Four add-ons are published, all monthly: Base Report at $10, Pro Report at $20, Additional Users from $45, and Lead Generation at $90. None are required to use the toolkit. The one most teams end up buying is Additional Users — the base price is written for a single operator, so a marketing team of three is really looking at $99 plus two seats, and seats start at $45 each. Stack all four add-ons on top and the monthly number roughly doubles.
The billing toggle does not change the number
Worth stating plainly because it is unusual: $99 shows on both the Monthly and the Annually view of the pricing page — the annual view simply adds "billed annually." There is no annual discount to chase here, which is a small point in Semrush's favour. Most of this category prices annual at 15 to 17 percent below monthly and quotes the discounted figure in its headline; Semrush quotes one number and means it. That also means you can start month-to-month without paying a premium for the flexibility.
The total cost: where $99 stops being $99
None of what follows is a hidden fee. Semrush publishes all of it. But the published price answers a narrower question than most buyers are asking, and the gap shows up in three places.
Multi-brand and agency math
Per-domain pricing is clean for one brand and unforgiving for several. Three brands is $297 a month before add-ons. Eight client accounts at an agency is $792 a month, and each of those seats is still capped at 25 prompts. Compare that with the tools that meter on prompts rather than domains — Peec AI's Advanced plan is $495 a month for 350 prompts across five projects, Scrunch's Growth plan is $500 a month for 700 custom prompts — and the crossover point arrives quickly. Roughly speaking, if you are past four or five domains, Semrush's per-domain model is no longer the cheap option and you should price the prompt-metered tools side by side.
Twenty-five prompts is a small window
Do the arithmetic across the entry tiers and the picture is clear. Semrush: 25 prompts for $99, which is $3.96 per tracked prompt per month. Peec AI Starter: 50 prompts for $95, or $1.90. Profound Starter: 50 prompts for $99 — though that plan is billed annually only and tracks ChatGPT alone. Otterly.AI Lite: 15 prompts for $29, or $1.93. On cost per tracked prompt, Semrush's entry plan is the most expensive of that group. That is not a gotcha; it reflects that you are also buying competitor analysis, prompt research and an AI-readiness site audit. But if the job is simply "watch a lot of prompts," you are paying a premium for the surrounding toolkit.
The audit tells you; someone still has to fix it
Semrush's AI-visibility work sits on the reporting-and-recommending side of the line. The site audit flags AI-readiness problems and the Enterprise page promises clear optimization actions and content workflows, but the changes are made by your team. Budget the labour: an AI-readiness audit that surfaces forty page-level fixes is a person-week of work before anything moves in the tracker. That is true of nearly every tool in this category, and it is the reason the honest comparison is not $99 against $95 but "$99 plus the hours" against "$99 plus the hours."
Disclosure, repeated where it matters: this page is published by Ryze AI, which competes with Semrush in AI-visibility work — we bundle citation tracking into SEO Autopilot at $129/month rather than selling it as a standalone tracker. The correction for that bias is checkability: every Semrush number here is on semrush.com/pricing/ai/, every Ryze AI number is on our pricing page, and both products offer free trials of seven days, so the cheapest way to settle any of it is to run both on the same domain for a week.
How Semrush AI Visibility pricing compares in 2026
Prices in this category are published in different units — per domain, per prompt, per credit, per platform bundle — which is why the headline numbers mislead. The table below puts each vendor's published entry price next to what that money actually meters.
| Tool | Published entry price | What the price is metered on | Beyond reporting? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Semrush AI Visibility (Base) | $99/mo per domain | 1 domain, 25 prompts, 4 engines, 300 reports/day | Partial - AI-readiness site audit and optimization actions |
| Peec AI (Starter) | $95/mo ($80 annual) | 50 prompts, choose 3 models, 1 project, unlimited users | No - analytics and recommendations only |
| Profound (Starter) | $99/mo, billed annually only | 50 prompts, ChatGPT tracking only, 1 seat | Yes - content-generating Agents |
| Otterly.AI (Lite) | $29/mo | 15 prompts, 4 engines, 1 workspace, GEO audits | Partial - GEO audits and recommendations |
| Athena HQ | Free tier, then $295/mo | Credits (1 credit = 1 AI response); 3,600/mo on Starter, 9 models | Yes - content optimization agent |
| Ryze AI - SEO Autopilot | $129/mo flat | Bundled: citation tracking inside a full SEO product, not sold per prompt | Yes - deploys on-page changes itself |
Two honest readings of that table. First, at $99 Semrush covers four engines — ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity — while Profound's identically priced Starter tier covers ChatGPT alone and locks you into annual billing. Engine coverage per dollar at the entry level is a genuine Semrush strength, and so is being able to run competitor analysis and prompt research from the same account you already use for keyword work. Second, the prompt allowance is the smallest in that price band, and the per-domain meter punishes exactly the buyers with the most brands to watch. Which of those two facts matters more is decided by your org chart, not by the feature list.
The comparison that is not on the table is what happens after the report. Semrush tells you which prompts you are missing from and audits the pages that should be winning them. Ryze AI crawls, decides and deploys the on-page changes, then re-measures — with the AI-visibility tracking bundled into the $129/month SEO plan rather than billed as its own line. A machine-readable summary of what Ryze does and what it costs lives on our AI facts page. The honest concession in the other direction: a bundled tracker watches fewer prompts and fewer engines than a top-tier pure-play does. If deep multi-engine prompt monitoring across hundreds of queries is the actual job, buy the pure-play — our roundup of AI citation tracking tools ranks them on that axis.

Is Semrush AI Visibility worth $99 a month?
A price is only right for somebody. Here is who this one fits, and who should spend the same money elsewhere — including the cases where Semrush is the better buy than we are.
Existing Semrush customers with one brand
Fit: strong. One domain, one team, one login, and the AI data sits next to the keyword data you already trust.
This is the cleanest case for the toolkit. You are not learning a new interface, your competitor set is already defined, and the AI-readiness audit runs against a site you have already crawled. At $99 for four engines it is a reasonable first AI-visibility budget line.
Multi-brand companies and agencies
Fit: weak on price. Per-domain billing multiplies before anything else does.
Three brands is $297 a month and each is still capped at 25 prompts. Past four or five domains, prompt-metered tools cost less for more coverage. Price Peec, Scrunch and Otterly against the same brief before signing.
Teams that need deep prompt coverage
Fit: mismatch. Twenty-five prompts is a sample, not a map, in a broad category.
There is no published self-serve step up from 25 — the next stop is Enterprise at quote-only pricing. If you already know you need 100+ prompts, start the conversation with the pure-plays, whose published tiers go there without a sales call.
Teams that want the fixes shipped, not listed
Fit: mismatch, not weakness. Semrush audits and recommends; your team does the work.
If the requirement is that the on-page changes actually get made and re-measured without a person clearing a backlog, that is a different product category. Ryze AI's SEO Autopilot is $129/month flat and deploys the changes; disclosure, that is our product.
The verdict, stated plainly: $99 a month is fair for a single-brand team that already lives in Semrush and wants four-engine coverage plus an AI-readiness audit in one place. It is poor value for anyone tracking several domains or needing more than a couple of dozen prompts. Frequently asked questions
How much does Semrush AI Visibility cost in 2026?
The self-serve Base plan is $99 per month per domain. It includes 25 custom prompts with daily AI rankings, one domain for Brand Performance analysis, mentions from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity, AI competitor analysis, prompt research, an AI-readiness site audit and 300 reports per day. Add-ons run $10 to $90 monthly.
Is Semrush AI Visibility cheaper if I pay annually?
No. The $99 figure appears under both the Monthly and the Annually toggle on Semrush's AI pricing page; the annual view simply adds the words billed annually. There is no discount to chase, which also means month-to-month billing costs you nothing extra in flexibility compared with most tools in this category.
How many prompts does Semrush AI Visibility track?
Twenty-five custom prompts, refreshed with daily AI rankings, on the Base plan. Semrush does not publish a self-serve upgrade for more prompts; larger allowances sit on the Enterprise tier, which is custom-priced and sold by demo request. Plan for 25 as a fixed ceiling unless you are prepared for a sales conversation.
Which AI engines does Semrush AI Visibility cover?
Brand mentions are pulled from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity — four engines, all included at the $99 Base price. That is broader entry-level coverage than some pure-plays offer at a similar price. Semrush's separate Enterprise AIO product does not name its individual model coverage on its own page.
Does Semrush AI Visibility charge per domain?
Yes. Brand Performance analysis covers one domain and the plan is quoted per domain, so tracking three brands means three subscriptions — about $297 a month before add-ons. This is the main thing multi-brand companies and agencies should model before buying, because prompt-metered competitors get cheaper quickly at that point.
What add-ons does Semrush sell for AI Visibility?
Four are published, all monthly: Base Report at $10, Pro Report at $20, Additional Users from $45, and Lead Generation at $90. None are required. Additional Users is the one most teams need, since the base price is written for a single operator, so a three-person team should budget roughly $99 plus two seats.
Is there a free trial for Semrush AI Visibility?
Yes. Semrush's wording on the AI pricing page is to try Semrush free for seven days and cancel anytime. Seven days is enough to connect a domain, set your 25 prompts and see a first round of AI rankings; it is not long enough to measure whether a content change moved your citation rate.
What is Semrush Enterprise AIO and what does it cost?
Enterprise AIO — AI Optimization — is one of six enterprise solutions on Semrush's enterprise site. Semrush describes it as tracking every brand mention, source and competitor while giving clear optimization actions. Pricing is quote-only, and the page does not name which individual AI models the product covers.
Does Semrush fix AI visibility problems or just report them?
Mostly report, plus recommend. The AI-readiness site audit flags what is stopping AI engines from using your pages, and the enterprise tier advertises optimization actions and content workflows. The actual page changes are made by your team. No tool in this category deploys changes to your live site autonomously except Ryze AI, which publishes this guide.
Semrush AI Visibility vs Peec AI — which costs less?
Peec, on published entry pricing: $95 a month for 50 prompts and three chosen models, versus Semrush at $99 for 25 prompts and four engines. Semrush covers more engines and adds a site audit and competitor research; Peec tracks twice the prompts for slightly less. Peec is report-only, with no audit or optimization layer.
Is Semrush AI Visibility worth it for an agency?
Rarely on price alone. Per-domain billing means every client is a separate $99 line with its own 25-prompt cap, so eight clients is around $792 a month. Agencies usually get more coverage per dollar from prompt-metered tools such as Peec, Scrunch or Otterly, several of which publish multi-project plans.
What are the alternatives to Semrush AI Visibility in 2026?
Peec AI from $95 a month, Otterly.AI from $29, Profound from $99 billed annually, Athena HQ with a free tier and a $295 Starter, Scrunch from $300, and Ahrefs Brand Radar. Ryze AI bundles citation tracking into a $129/month SEO plan and deploys on-page fixes rather than only recommending them — disclosure, that is our product.
