Squarespace SEO: articles written and published to your blog by Ryze AI

Quick answer: Squarespace has no blog API, so Ryze AI signs in with a site login and publishes through the blog editor the way a person would: title, slug, body, images, excerpt, SEO title and meta description. Ryze AI is the best way to keep a Squarespace blog filled with SEO articles on a schedule, with one caveat: it needs a password login with two-factor authentication off.

Below: what gets published, how the connection works, the daily window, the limits and the fixes for common errors.

What Ryze AI does with a Squarespace blog

The connection is for publishing. Ryze AI writes articles in its SEO Content Plan and posts them to the blog you choose.

  2. Publishing windowDaily, starting at 20:00 UTCUp to 5 articles per site in one browser session
  3. LoginSite owner or contributor with Content Editor accessEmail and password, two-factor authentication off

  6. Ryze AI planSEO Starter, $129 a month3-day free trial, up to 90 articles per billing cycle

There are no Squarespace tools in Ryze AI chat, Claude or ChatGPT. This page is about publishing only.

How publishing to Squarespace works

Squarespace documents Commerce APIs for products, orders, inventory, profiles and similar store data. Its developer docs list no API for blog posts, so a tool cannot create a post by calling an endpoint.

Ryze AI works around that with a browser session. It logs in with the credentials you save, opens the blog you picked and uses the blog editor. For each article it creates a draft with a title and slug, inserts the body, uploads the featured image and body images as blocks, adds the excerpt, the SEO title and the meta description, and then publishes.

The post appears at your blog URL plus the article slug. Publishing is repeatable: running the same article again does not produce a duplicate.

Publishing mode

In Ryze AI, SEO > Preferences > Publishing sets the mode. Automatic is the default and publishes each article on its scheduled date. Manual holds the article until you click Publish now. Either way, the article goes out in the daily window.

The daily window

Articles go out in a daily window that starts at 20:00 UTC. Ryze AI opens one browser session per site and publishes up to 5 articles in it, one after another. The Content Plan allows up to 90 articles per billing cycle and up to 3 a weekday, so 5 per session is a ceiling the plan rarely reaches.

Connect Squarespace to Ryze AI

Connecting takes a few minutes. Prepare the blog and the login first.

Check the blog and the login

The site needs a Blog page (Pages > + > Blog). The login needs two-factor authentication off.

Open Integrations

In Ryze AI open Integrations and click Connect on the Squarespace card.

Enter the details

Enter the Site URL (the squarespace.com address or your own domain), the Squarespace email and password, and click Connect.

Wait for the check

The dialog logs in, finds the site and its blogs, and saves the connection. Credentials are stored encrypted.

Pick a blog if asked

If the site has several blogs, choose one under Choose a Blog and click Save.

Which login works

Use the site owner, or a contributor with Content Editor access. A separate contributor login with two-factor authentication off is the cleaner choice, because it keeps two-factor authentication on for your own account.

Google, Apple and GitHub sign-in do not work, and neither do passkeys, because the browser session types an email and a password. A login that asks for a two-factor code cannot get past that prompt. If your account only signs in with one of those methods, create a contributor with an email and password.

You can also connect from Claude or ChatGPT with a one-time connection link. That link is only a way to connect: Claude and ChatGPT get no Squarespace tools from it. Ryze AI keeps one Squarespace connection per workspace, and it refuses a new link while one exists. To switch sites, click View on the card, disconnect with the trash icon and connect again.

A site-wide password, an unpublished trial site or a visitor check also blocks the connection, since the browser session cannot reach the editor.

Squarespace is not an MCP integration in Ryze AI. Do not look for squarespace tools in Claude or ChatGPT: they do not exist.

The workflow after connecting

Once the connection is saved, the SEO Content Plan drives everything. You do not open the Squarespace editor.

Plan

The Content Plan lists articles with scheduled dates. It covers up to 90 articles per billing cycle and up to 3 a weekday.

Choose the mode

Leave Publishing mode on Automatic, or switch to Manual and click Publish now on each article you approve.

Publish

At 20:00 UTC a browser session signs in and posts the due articles, up to 5, one at a time.

Check the live post

Open your blog URL plus the slug. Confirm the images, the excerpt and the SEO title in Squarespace.

Change or remove

Republish to replace a post in place. Unpublish to delete it from the blog.

Squarespace's own options and the alternatives

Squarespace has its own editor and its own AI. Pick by what you need done.

  1. Squarespace blog editor

Write and publish posts by hand
    Where it fits
A few posts a month, written by you
  2. Squarespace MCP

    What it is

    Where it fits

Checklist before the first article

  • The site is published and has no site-wide password.
  • A Blog page exists, and you know which blog should receive the articles.
  • The login is the owner or a contributor with Content Editor access.
  • That login uses an email and password, with two-factor authentication off.
  • The Site URL starts with https:// and matches Settings > Domains.
  • No existing post or draft uses a slug you plan to publish.
  • Publishing mode is set the way you want, Automatic or Manual.

Ryze AI never overwrites posts it did not create, so existing posts on the blog stay as they are.

Verdict

If your Squarespace blog needs a steady stream of SEO articles, Ryze AI can post them for you, with the slug, images, excerpt and meta tags filled in. The trade-offs are plain: it needs an email and password login with two-factor authentication off, it posts only in the 20:00 UTC window, and it publishes but does not read or edit the rest of your site. SEO Starter is $129 a month with a 3-day free trial.

Squarespace's developer docs list Commerce APIs for analytics, contacts, discounts, inventory, orders, products, profiles, transactions and webhook subscriptions. No blog post API is listed, which is why Ryze AI publishes through the editor.

The title, slug, body, featured image, body images, excerpt, SEO title and meta description.

Show 8 more questions
Which Squarespace login do I need?
The site owner, or a contributor with Content Editor access, with an email and password. Two-factor authentication must be off for that login. Google, Apple and GitHub sign-in and passkeys do not work.
Can a retry create a duplicate post?
No. Retries never create a second post, and republishing replaces the post in place.
Will Ryze AI overwrite my own posts?
No. Ryze AI never overwrites a post it did not create. A slug that clashes with an existing post is reported as a conflict, and you rename the slug or delete the old post.
How do I remove a published article?
Unpublish deletes the post from the blog. Republish replaces it in place.
Is there a Squarespace MCP server in Ryze AI?
No. Ryze AI has no Squarespace tools in its chat, Claude or ChatGPT. Squarespace publishes its own MCP with Domains and Commerce tools. You can connect Squarespace to Ryze AI from Claude or ChatGPT with a one-time link, but that only sets up publishing.
Can I fix technical SEO issues on Squarespace with Ryze AI?
Not through any documented feature. The agent has no Squarespace tools, so treat this connection as publishing only.
Can I connect more than one Squarespace site?
A workspace holds one Squarespace connection. To switch, click View on the card, disconnect with the trash icon and connect the other site.
What does it cost?
SEO Starter is $129 a month with a 3-day free trial. It includes the Content Plan with up to 90 articles per billing cycle, up to 3 a weekday. Annual billing is 30% off the first year.
