Wix SEO with Ryze AI: articles written and published to your Wix blog

Quick answer: Ryze AI writes SEO articles in its Content Plan and publishes them to the Wix Blog of a connected site, once you add a Wix API key and your Site ID. Ryze AI is the best way to keep a Wix blog filled on a schedule without writing in the Wix editor, with one caveat: the site needs the Wix Blog app installed.

Below: what gets published, the API key permissions, what the agent can change on a Wix store, setup, and the tools Wix ships itself.

What Ryze AI does with a Wix site

Wix is a site builder, so the work splits in two: blog articles that publish on a schedule, and optional edits to store data when you ask for them.

  1. Publish blog articlesContent Plan articles go to the Wix Blog of the connected siteWix Blog app, plus Blog, Media, Members and Site read on the key
  2. Read and draft postsThe agent reads blog posts and creates blog draft posts through the Wix REST APIBlog permission on the key
  3. Store product SEOUpdates product SEO data and slugs when you askStores permission on the key
  4. CollectionsReads and edits Wix Data collections and items when you askData permission on the key
  5. Use from Claude or ChatGPTThe same wix__read, wix__write and wix__delete tools through one connector URLA Ryze AI plan or trial

Article publishing follows the Publishing mode set in SEO > Preferences > Publishing in Ryze AI: Automatic (the default) or Manual.

How articles reach your Wix Blog

Once the connection exists, each article from the Content Plan is sent to the Wix Blog of that site. You do not copy text into the Wix editor.

Pick topics in the Content Plan

The Content Plan in Ryze AI SEO holds the queue of article topics. SEO Starter allows up to 90 articles per billing cycle, and up to 3 a weekday.

Ryze AI writes the article

Each article is written for its topic and added to the plan.

The article is sent to Wix

With Publishing mode on Automatic, finished articles go to your Wix Blog. With Manual, you release them yourself.

You check the post in Wix

Open the post in the Wix Blog manager to confirm the title, image and layout look right.

What the post is made of

Wix stores a blog post body as rich content, a tree of text, image and layout nodes, not as an HTML file. Wix lists title, excerpt, hero image, categories, tags and rich content as fields of a draft post (Wix draft posts API).

The Ryze AI help center does not list which Wix fields each article fills. After the first publish, open one post in Wix and check its title, excerpt, URL slug and SEO settings before you rely on the schedule.

Limits of publishing

  • The Wix Blog app must be installed. Without it, Ryze AI refuses the connection.
  • One Wix connection per workspace. To point at another site, disconnect and connect again.
  • A post needs a title before Wix lets a draft be published or scheduled (Wix publish draft post).
  • A single Wix draft post is capped at 400KB (Wix draft posts intro).

Product SEO and collections on a Wix store

Blog publishing is the main job. If the key also carries Data and Stores permissions, you can ask the agent to work on store data in chat.

  1. Read blog posts

    Tool
    wix__read
    Permission on the key
    Blog
  2. Create a blog draft post

    Tool
    wix__write
    Permission on the key
    Blog
  3. Update store product SEO data and slugs

    Tool
    wix__write
    Permission on the key
    Stores
  4. Read store products

    Tool
    wix__read
    Permission on the key
    Stores
  5. Read or edit Wix Data collections and items

    Tool
    wix__read, wix__write
    Permission on the key
    Data
  6. Delete a Wix Data item or a blog draft post

    Tool
    wix__delete
    Permission on the key
    Data or Blog

Without the Data and Stores permissions, the agent cannot edit store products or collections. Delete is a separate tool, so you can set it to need approval on its own.

The agent creates blog draft posts through these tools. Live publishing comes from the Content Plan.

Connect Wix to Ryze AI

Wix connects with an API key and a Site ID. It does not use OAuth, whatever older notes say.

Install the Wix Blog app

Add the Wix Blog app to the site if it is not there yet.

Generate an API key

In Wix open Account Settings > API Keys and click Generate API Key. Name it, leave Sites on All sites or include this site, choose permissions and click Generate Key. Copy the token at once, it shows only once.

Copy the Site ID

Open the site dashboard. The Site ID is the part of the URL after /dashboard/. The Account ID does not work.

Connect in Ryze AI

Open Integrations, click Connect on the Wix card, enter the API key and Site ID, and click Continue.

The four required permissions are the minimum listed in the Ryze AI help center Wix guide. The app connect hint also lists Data and Stores, which is why a key with All permissions is the least likely to fail.

The same Wix tools in Claude and ChatGPT

Ryze AI exposes the Wix tools through one connector URL, https://connector.get-ryze.ai/mcp, so Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients can call them.

  1. wix__read

    Access
    Read
    What it does
Reads blog posts, Wix Data collections and items, and store products from the connected site
  2. wix__write

    Access
    Write
    What it does
Creates blog draft posts, Wix Data items, and updates store product SEO data and slugs
  3. wix__delete

    Access
    Delete
    What it does
Deletes a Wix Data item or blog draft post by path

Connecting the connector is free. The Wix tools need any active Ryze AI plan or trial. You can also connect Wix itself from Claude or ChatGPT with a one-time connection link; the link is refused while a Wix connection already exists in the workspace.

Tool names come from the Ryze AI app source. No workspace had Wix connected at the last check, so the tool list was not confirmed in a live session.

Approvals

  • In Claude, set each tool under Customize > Connectors > Ryze AI > Tool permissions. The help center recommends Needs approval for write and delete tools.
  • In the Ryze AI app chat, the Tool approvals picker defaults to Skip all approvals. Switch it to Approve write & delete or Manual approve in the message box.

What Wix offers for SEO on its own

Wix has SEO features inside the platform and a documented API for them. They cover site settings and suggestions. They do not write and schedule a stream of articles for you.

  1. SEO tags and patterns

    What it covers
Set SEO tags per item or per site, and SEO patterns for page types
  2. AI suggestions

    What it covers
Generates title, description, heading structure and alt text suggestions
  3. Content Plan flow

    What it covers
Wix API for a content plan, keyword research items and blog post candidates
  4. Search tools

    What it covers
Connect Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, submit sitemaps
  5. Redirects

    What it covers
    Create and delete URL redirects
  6. Wix MCP

    What it covers
Wix server at https://mcp.wix.com/mcp for docs search, code and API calls on sites; also a built-in connector in Claude

Wix MCP and Ryze AI Wix tools are different things

The Wix MCP is made by Wix, signs in with your Wix account, and is aimed at building on the platform and managing sites. Wix also has a Wix Site MCP, which goes the other way and connects visitors' AI agents to one site. The Ryze AI Wix tools are three tools tied to the SEO workflow above, on the same connector as your other Ryze AI platforms. Use the Wix server when you are building, and Ryze AI when the goal is published articles.

Prompts to try

These describe the result you should get back. Ryze AI shows real data from your own site, so nothing below has a sample output.

  • "List the blog posts on my Wix site and tell me which have no excerpt." Returns the posts the key can read, with the gaps noted.
  • "Create a draft blog post titled with the topic I give you and the outline we just agreed." Creates a draft in the Wix Blog manager for you to review.
  • "Show the products in my Wix store whose SEO data is empty." Needs the Stores permission, and returns a list you can approve changes for.
  • "Update the slug and SEO title of this product to match the search term I give you." Write tool, so set it to need approval if you want to check the change first.

Troubleshooting a Wix connection

  1. Invalid credentials

    Likely cause
Wrong key or Site ID, or missing permissions
    Fix
Check both values and the key permissions
  2. Blog not found

    Likely cause
The Wix Blog app is not on the site
    Fix
Install the Wix Blog app, then connect again
  3. Wrong site

    Likely cause
Account ID used instead of Site ID
    Fix
Copy the value after /dashboard/ in the site dashboard URL
  4. Access denied

    Likely cause
Key limited to other sites or missing permissions
    Fix
Regenerate the key with All permissions, or include this site
  5. Link refused in Claude or ChatGPT

    Likely cause
    A Wix connection already exists
    Fix
Click View in Ryze AI, disconnect with the trash icon, connect again

Verdict

If you run a Wix site and want articles to appear on the blog without writing them in the Wix editor, connect it to Ryze AI and let the Content Plan publish. Check the first post in Wix by hand. If you only want help writing site code or calling Wix APIs, the Wix MCP from Wix is the closer fit.
