Claude + Shopify MCP (Manual Workflow)
Connecting Claude directly to Shopify via the Model Context Protocol is the foundation every other workflow in this list builds on. You create a custom Shopify app with read access to products, collections, metafields, and orders, then configure the MCP server in Claude Desktop. From that point Claude can query your live store the same way a developer would query the API — but in plain English.
A typical Claude workflow for mapping search intent to Shopify pages via MCP looks like this: ask Claude to pull the top 50 GSC queries for a collection, classify each by intent tier, then recommend which existing page best satisfies each query — or flag where a new page is needed. The process takes 3–10 seconds per query set. The gap is execution: Claude tells you what to change, but you still have to open Shopify and change it. For the autonomous version of this, see Ryze AI.
