Google Search Console URL Inspection
The Google Search Console URL Inspection tool is the most direct way to tell Google that a specific product page exists and is ready to crawl. Paste your product URL into the search bar at the top of GSC, wait for the live fetch to complete, and click “Request Indexing.” Google will typically queue the page for crawling within a few hours, though full indexing can still take one to three days depending on your site’s crawl priority.
The critical limitation is the daily cap: GSC restricts you to roughly 10 manual indexing requests per day per Search Console property. For a Shopify store with hundreds or thousands of product pages this is not a scalable standalone strategy — but it is the right tool for your ten most important hero SKUs, new product launches, or any page that shows “Crawled — currently not indexed” in your Coverage report. Pair it with a sitemap submission and an automated approach like Ryze AI for full coverage.
