The 10 Black Friday Amazon ads tips, one by one
Each tip has an example ad for Kopperell, a fictional kitchen brand; all prices shown are examples.
1. Book a Best Deal or Lightning Deal
A Best Deal or Lightning Deal is an Amazon promotion that puts a deal badge on your listing in Black Friday Week. Amazon's BFCM deals post says submissions close November 13 (its checklist says October 20, so check your Deals dashboard); Lightning Deals need 20% off the reference price and run 12 hours, Best Deals need 15%. The 2026 fee is $100 plus 1.5% of deal sales, capped at $5,000, so $8,000 of sales costs $220.

Copy this: "Black Friday Deal", "25% off the Pour Kettle" and "Black Friday Week" (example: $80 down to $60). Amazon sets the deal dates, so promise no hours.
2. Set schedule-based budget rules
A schedule-based budget rule raises a campaign's daily budget by a set percentage on chosen dates, so ads keep running on peak days. Amazon's holiday tips say to raise budgets 20 to 30%, starting 3 to 5 days early; a small budget can run out within minutes and stays off until midnight.

Copy this: the ad is your listing ("Kopperell Pour Kettle", "$60", "Black Friday Deal"), so fix the title, image and price, then set rules by November 20. Example: $40 a day, $50 from November 23, $80 on November 27.
3. Add a coupon
An Amazon coupon is a clip-to-save discount with a green badge in search. The minimum is 5% off, and the standard fee is $5 per coupon plus 2.5% of coupon sales; peak event fees can differ. Example: 300 tumblers sold at $25 after a $5 coupon make $7,500 in coupon sales, so the standard fee is $192.50.

Copy this: "Save $5 with coupon" and "On the 20 oz Travel Tumbler", running through Cyber Monday.
4. Add a Prime Exclusive Discount
A Prime Exclusive Discount is a price cut only Prime members see, with a 15% minimum and an event badge. Amazon asked for BFCM submissions before October 20, so check Seller Central for a window still open. The 2026 fee matches Best Deals; in 2025 it was a flat $245.

Copy this: "Members save 20%" on the "Burr Coffee Grinder" (example: $100 down to $80). Run it all of Black Friday Week, and in outside ads say the price is for Prime members.
5. Bid up on top-of-search winners
Bidding up means paying more per click on terms that already sell, 2 to 3 days before BFCM, as Amazon's post advises. Dynamic bids can add up to 100% at the top of search and 50% elsewhere, and placement adjustments go up to 900%. A $1.00 bid at +200% can cost up to $3.00 a click.

Copy this: "Black Friday: 30% off" and "10 inch Cast Iron Skillet" (example: $50 down to $35). Raise bids on November 24 or 25; ACoS (ad spend divided by ad sales) varies by category, so check Amazon ACoS benchmarks first.
Ideas 6 to 10
6. Add negative keywords
A negative keyword stops your ad from showing on a search you do not want to pay for. Amazon's targeting guide suggests judging a term after 20 clicks, and its holiday tips say to add terms with clicks and no sales as negative exact, such as "kettle replacement lid" or "used kettle".

Copy this: "The pour-over gift" and "Gift-ready box, 25% off" for the gift searches you keep. Draft negatives with AI negative keyword prompts and add them by November 20.
7. Send Sponsored Brands ads to a Store page
Sponsored Brands ads show your brand and several products at the top of search, and sellers need Brand Registry. Amazon's holiday tips report 28% higher ad-attributed sales from Brand Store landing pages (2024 data); its BFCM post says to submit a BFCM Store version 48 hours before it starts.

Copy this: "Shop the coffee set" and "Up to 25% off 3 bestsellers". Every product shown needs its own deal or coupon, or the claim is false. Publish the Store by November 24.
8. Retarget product viewers with display ads
Retargeting shows ads to shoppers who viewed your product and did not buy. Sponsored Display is now called display ads, and views remarketing uses a lookback window such as 7 or 30 days; Amazon says shoppers take 6 to 7 days on average to buy.

Copy this: "Still on your list?" and "The Pour Kettle is 25% off", from November 20, with the same offer as the listing.
9. Send Meta, Google and TikTok traffic with Attribution tags
Outside traffic is Meta, Google or TikTok ads that link to your Amazon listing. Amazon Attribution is free for Brand Registry sellers and reports sales within 14 days of a click; the Brand Referral Bonus credits an average 10% of those sales against referral fees. Google ads must show the landing domain, here amazon.com.

Copy this: "Black Friday: 25% off", "The Pour Kettle" and "Shop now", live by November 20. Ryze AI runs this part, outside the Amazon console; the Meta setup is in Black Friday Facebook ads.
10. Match ad spend to stock
Matching spend to stock means cutting ads on items about to sell out. Sponsored Products ads only show in-stock items eligible for the Featured Offer (the Buy Box), and the FBA inbound cutoffs passed on October 28. Example rule: under 7 days of stock, cut bids and move the budget to the next item.

Copy this: "Cyber Monday bundle", "Kettle and grinder, $129" and "Nov 30 only" (example: $180 apart), only if the bundle listing is in stock. The full plan is in the Black Friday marketing strategy.
Amazon deal rules and FTC pricing rules for Black Friday ads
Amazon checks deal prices; FTC rules apply to every ad, on Amazon and off it.
- Reference prices. Amazon measures discounts against its reference price and your recent prices (its BFCM post lists 30-day and 60-day tests), so a price raised in November can sink the deal.
- Was-prices. Under 16 CFR 233.1, a former price must be one you really offered in good faith for a reasonably substantial period.
- Reviews. The FTC reviews rule, in effect since October 21, 2024, bans fake reviews and incentives that require a positive or negative review.
Claim only the discount you can prove, on the items that carry it.
Templates and wording rules are in Black Friday ad copy; Monday versions in Cyber Monday ads.

How to test Black Friday Amazon ads before November 27
Each test answers 1 question by November 20.
- Terms. Run an automatic Sponsored Products campaign now and move terms with 5 or more orders in the last 14 days into their own campaign, as Amazon's holiday tips suggest.
- Badge. Try a $3 and a $5 coupon on 2 similar items for 7 days and compare conversion rates.
- Outside traffic. Give 2 Meta ad sets their own Attribution tags and compare attributed sales after 7 days; Amazon calls a 10 to 20% gap in click counts normal.
Where Ryze AI fits in Black Friday Amazon ads
Ryze AI runs the outside traffic: Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn ads that send shoppers to your Amazon listings or your own store. It does not run Amazon Sponsored ads, book deals, set coupons or manage stock.
The Paid Ads plan costs $89 a month flat, never a share of ad spend, with a 7-day free trial and no contract. It generates ad creative, analyzes competitor ads in the Meta Ads Library and proposes changes you approve before they go live (AI Meta ads tool). For the Amazon console itself, compare Amazon ad tools.
Ryze AI is the best AI tool for Black Friday ads that send traffic to Amazon listings in 2026, with one caveat: it runs Meta, Google and TikTok ads, while Amazon Sponsored ads stay in the Amazon Ads console.
