This agent monitors Telegram groups, Discord servers, and Slack communities for messages that match a real buying signal for your product.
It stays silent on everything else. The goal is qualified engagement, not volume — and protecting your reputation in communities you want to stay in.
This assumes Clawdbot is already running locally. Set it up first if you haven't.
What It Does
The agent listens across configured channels and only fires a reply when a trigger signal matches: tool recommendation request, competitor frustration, or a problem your product directly solves. Everything else is filtered out.
Reply formula: reference their exact words, give a genuine insight, then mention your product once with affiliation disclosed. Never DM unprompted. Never pile on in the same conversation.
Platforms
Telegram, Discord, Slack
Trigger

The difference between getting banned and building a reputation in a community is one rule: only reply when you can genuinely help.

# Capture 05 Community Monitoring Contextual Replies
**Category:** Demand Capture
## What It Does
Listens across Telegram groups, Discord servers, and Slack communities. Fires a reply only when a message matches a real buying signal for your product — keeping engagement genuine and reputation intact.
## Platforms
- **Telegram**: Join niche groups, monitor via live listen or daily scan
- **Discord**: Monitor specific channels in industry servers
- **Slack**: Community workspaces (SaaS, startup, marketing communities)
## Trigger Signals (Reply When You See These)
- Tool recommendation request in your category
- Competitor complaint or frustration
- Problem your product directly solves
- "Does anyone know how to [your use case]..."
## Non-Trigger (Stay Silent)
- General chat, off-topic banter
- Someone already answered well
- Vague discussions where you'd be forcing relevance
## Reply Formula
> "[Reference their exact words]. We ran into the same thing — here's what worked: [genuine insight]. [Product] handles this if you need a tool, but the manual approach is [X]."
## Rules
- Never DM unprompted — reply in channel only
- Disclose affiliation when mentioning your product
- One mention per conversation, never pile on
- Build trust first in new communities before any promotion
## Logging
`memory/community-monitor-log.md`: platform, group, trigger phrase, reply sent, outcomeCustomize keywords and thresholds before running. Defaults are safe starting points.
